JOB DESCRIPTION: We are hiring a VP of Marketing who is responsible for planning, developing, and executing drip marketing campaigns and customer segmentations with expertise in lead nurturing, onboarding, cross-selling and upselling and event follow-ups is required. The ideal candidate will excel at segmenting customers into tailored groups based on purchasing behavior, such as customers who buy one product but not another and crafting personalized “Customer Journeys” for each segment. This role focuses on maximizing the share of wallet for each customer through purposeful targeted promotions, customized emails, targeted emails, and strategic marketing engagements, ensuring each customer feels valued and understood. This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer, and the ideal candidate must have a strong history of excelling in an individual contributor role. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Strategy and Vision: Partner with the CEO, Senior Leadership Team, and others to develop and communicate corporate mission, vision, objectives, initiatives, and strategies. Responsible for determining the objectives, initiatives, goals, strategies, plans, and KPIs to achieve new business growth targets, including the markets we enter and compete in, the customers we focus on. 2. New Market Entry: Evaluate potential new markets and segments for expansion, considering factors such as market size, competitive landscape, regulatory environment, and customer demographics. Lead the development of a business plan and go-to-market strategy to enter new markets and gain board approval to execute. Partner with trade marketing and sales to execute a go-to market plan. Establish partnerships and alliances as necessary to support market entry and accelerate growth. 3. Existing Market Development: Identify and evaluate strategic initiatives to drive growth and market expansion. Research market trends, assessing competitive landscapes and developing and implementing actionable strategies utilizing sales and product innovation cross functional teams to penetrate new markets, enhance market presence, and maximize profitable revenue opportunities. Collaborate with sales and technology innovation teams to identify market needs and develop innovative solutions and services. 4. New Product Development: Drive new product positioning, pricing strategies, and value propositions based on market insights and competitive analysis. Partner to ensure alignment between product development efforts and market requirements to drive customer satisfaction and competitive advantage. 5. Build the brand: Define our Brand Value Proposition, and brand marketing strategies and tactics to rationalize brands and sub-brands, to differentiate ourselves against competitors, ensure customer delight, and create pull from our end users to grow share. Determine the communication channels, technologies, products, solutions, and services that we will provide to effectively reach and delight our customers and end users. Partner with our trade marketing and sales teams to execute the brand strategy. 6. Relationship Management: Work collaboratively to meet growth expectations and grow shareholder value. Cultivate and maintain relationships with external key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry influencers. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote brand awareness and build strategic partnerships. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to leverage resources and expertise to achieve growth targets and brand marketing initiatives. 7. Sales Enablement and Support: Partner with sales and customer service teams to develop compelling messaging, collateral, and tools that resonate with target customers and facilitate sales efforts. Provide stakeholders with market intelligence, competitive insights, and facilitate training to enhance effectiveness in driving revenue growth. 8. Operate within and promote our Culture: Recruit, train, and promote based on company Mission, Vision, and Values as well as other attributes to enable the organization to pursue opportunities and goals. Observe organizational activities to discover and celebrate strengths and correct weaknesses in collaboration with others. Assess preparedness for and lead change. Collaborate and team with coworkers, partners, and customers in all areas of responsibilities to develop and implement the best solutions for Stakeholders. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Supports the organization's mission, vision, and values by exhibiting our core values • Possesses exceptional business acumen and learning agility to quickly comprehend Rhythm’s business model, products, services, solutions offered, and strategic growth plans. • Knowledge utilizing data analytics from website visits with proven pull through strategies • Expertise of social media or branding, marketing campaigns, and new product launches; measuring Net Promotor Scores (NPS) as a measure of marketing success • Experience working with a Subscription Service Model (preferred) • Knowledge of expanding Share-of-Wallet with existing customers through multiple methods and measurements • Ability to communicate with national media outlets for public relation opportunities; interworking of Podcasts and how we should utilize to build our branding • Master level knowledge of public relations at trade shows and positioning our executive team as voice of the industry EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience in product, marketing, and/or business development and experience in leadership with increasing levels of financial and global responsibility. • Strong experience in a dynamic product or market management role including a SKU rich catalog. • Experience with launching new products into the market; website design and re-design; B2B distribution go to market channels; and understanding what drives our customer’s business. • Experience with marketing automation and CRM (NetSuite is a bonus); KPI driven marketing approach while maintaining innovative thinking. • Highly effective in working with and collaborating within cross-functional teams; ability to drive change and build a performance culture • Demonstrate excellent communication and written skills and understand the importance of timely and complete communication to all who are impacted by a decision. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. • Occasional travel may be required for training sessions and events.
