Executive Director - Freedom for Youth
Position: Executive Director
Status:
Full-time, exempt
Reports to:
Freedom Board of Directors

Development Director, Program Director, Operations Director
Position Overview:
The Executive Director is the overall leader of Freedom for Youth Ministries. They drive the vision for the ministry, manage the staff, oversee financial performance and develop relationships with stakeholders throughout the community.
Overview Of Responsibilities
Vision Setting/Organizational Leadership
Maintain a clear focus on those we are called to serve, always understanding the needs of the students. Continually assess Freedom’s ability to carry out its vision/mission/values and adjust the vision/execution as needed to meet goals in ever-changing social and community situations. Communicate clearly with and maintain a positive working relationship with the Board of Directors. Serve as President of Freedom Blend Coffee, LLC and Freedom Construction Services, LLC. Work toward profitability and offer maximum employment training opportunities for youth and young adults. Maintain personal conduct that testifies to a committed, growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Agree with and support the FFY Statement of Faith and ensure that FFY remains faithful to the Lord in daily operations.
Community Relations/Fundraising
Communicate Freedom’s story and vision to churches, civic groups, and other stakeholders/potential supporters in multiple parts of the Iowa community. Develop long-term, authentic relationships which result in volunteerism and financial support, including planned giving. Maintain a healthy board and work to recruit new team members.
Staff Management
Lead and develop staff directors to effectively manage three core areas: program, employment training, fund development/administration. Lead, mentor and inspire all staff to navigate highs and lows of ministry. Help staff members carry out their callings and empower them to implement vision, ensuring that programs follow mission, are effective, and are growing. Foster teamwork and collaboration among staff.
Financial Oversight
Maintain the budget and communicate financials to the Board of Directors and other stakeholders. Ensure processes are in place to safeguard assets, minimize liability, and to be good stewards of the gifts God has entrusted to us. Develop tools for measuring program effectiveness and regularly sharing reports with the Board of Directors and other stakeholders.
Evaluation:
The ED will receive an annual evaluation from the Board of Directors.
