Job Title: Associate Attorney

Position Overview:
Do you have a passion for the law and helping people? We seek an Associate Attorney with focus in family law and/or probate to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of litigation experience demonstrating a strong understanding of divorce, child custody, guardianship (including emergency guardianship), spousal support, and related matters. Probate experience, or eagerness to learn, is also helpful. Were happy to train and will give you as much as you can take on!
Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of 25-40 matters from inception to hearing to settlement / permanent orders.
Draft pleadings, motions, build cases and exhibit lists, and generate other legal documents.
Attend court hearings, mediations, and status conferences.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Provide strategic legal advice to clients based on research and a thorough understanding of how case law applies to their individual matters.
Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases and drive case strategy.
Must also be able to work independently as we are a small firm with limited resources
Time Requirements: Both In-Office and work-from-home.
Requires some in-state travel when needed.
Flexible Hours
Qualifications: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Admission to the Colorado Bar, or scheduled upcoming bar exam
2-4 years of experience, including family law.
Strong knowledge of family law statutes, rules, and procedures.
Exceptional research, writing, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Probate experience helpful
Personal Injury knowledge a plus
