This role involves overseeing a well-recognized and financially sound organization, implementing a strategic plan, and ensuring the highest degree of accountability and effective management. The President and CEO will be the chief external relations champion, responsible for cultivating strategic partnerships, and will work closely with the Board of Directors to position the organization as a premier destination for arts, culture, and humanities.
Key responsibilities for the President and CEO include leadership and management of a large, diverse team, fostering a culture of creativity, inclusivity, and excellence, and maintaining strong relationships with the community, donors, and strategic partners. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7-10 years' senior-level leadership experience, a demonstrable record in revenue and fundraising growth, and a strong commitment to the mission, vision, and values of the organization. They should possess solid financial management skills, a leadership style that promotes creative problem-solving, and a strong commitment to inclusion, diversity, equity, and access. The role also requires the ability to travel and attend various events, including evenings and weekends, and a proven ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
