Qualifications: Strong ability to understand and interpret customer drawings, parts lists, ECOs, and GD&T. Minimum 2 years experience operating, programming, and maintaining a CMM (Hexagon, PC-DMIS). Minimum 3 years experience using, calibrating, and setting manual inspection devices such as: Bore gages, micrometers, dial indicators, height gages Thread and pin gages, microscopes (for visual inspection) Profilometers, optical comparators, and Rockwell testers Duties & Expectations Safely operate CMM equipment, analyze product, and meet production expectations set by supervisor. Measure and inspect parts using the most practical and efficient method: CMM, manual inspection tools, visual inspection, or other reliable techniques. Program CMM for new and existing parts to ensure process improvement and quality during setup, in-process, and final inspections. Cross-train fellow employees in programming and operating the CMM. Save CMM programs in designated locations and follow change management procedures. Provide support to production personnel when needed. Train programmers, setup personnel, and operators in inspection methodology when applicable. Act as both team leader and team member to ensure product quality and operational efficiency. Report maintenance issues promptly to supervisor. Continuously seek improvements in processes, job performance, and overall effectiveness of the QMS. Collaborate with programmers and setup personnel to troubleshoot technical issues. Document all work in ERP systems, work orders, CMM programs, and/or measurement software to maintain traceability and quality records. Maintain a clean, organized work area and demonstrate a positive attitude. Communicate concerns related to production, safety, or quality to the immediate supervisor. Use only calibrated measuring equipment (personal or company-supplied). Ensure any non-calibrated equipment is corrected immediately. Handle all inspection equipment, machines, and parts responsibly to avoid damage or deterioration. Stay aware of quality policies, procedures, objectives, and your contribution to product conformance, safety, and ethics.
