About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Data & AI to spearhead the strategic and technical aspects of data and artificial intelligence within the organization. This executive will be responsible for the development and governance of the data platform and AI engineering capabilities, with a focus on ensuring the safe, responsible, and scalable use of data and AI to enhance clinical care, member experience, and operational efficiency. The role involves leading a small but growing team, redesigning and modernizing the existing data platform, and establishing a single source of truth for data. The VP will also be tasked with defining AI governance frameworks, creating a world-class AI engineering function, and partnering with cross-functional teams to align AI and data initiatives with the company's strategy.
Candidates for this role at The Company should have a minimum of 12 years' experience in data engineering, AI/ML, or related technical fields, with at least 5 years in leadership positions. Deep technical expertise in data architecture, governance, and modern AI/ML systems is essential, as is a proven track record in building and scaling data and AI teams. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ML frameworks and a strong understanding of healthcare data standards and privacy rules. Leadership skills, the ability to communicate technical concepts to a diverse audience, and a collaborative approach to driving cross-functional alignment are also key requirements. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with a preference for an advanced degree in AI/ML, data science, or a related discipline.
