About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Engineering to spearhead the development of world-class digital experiences for its members, physicians, and clinical teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the technical and organizational strategy to deliver secure, reliable, and innovative healthcare technology products. This role demands a leader who can balance long-term platform scalability with the need for rapid, high-quality delivery, and who is adept at modernizing engineering practices, including the championing of AI for software development. The VP of Engineering will also be tasked with building and managing a high-performing engineering organization, fostering a culture of technical excellence, and ensuring that the company's digital products reflect its commitment to quality and innovation.
Applicants must have a minimum of 12 years' experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in senior engineering leadership roles, and a proven track record in delivering polished consumer applications at scale. Strong technical depth in modern web and mobile frameworks, backend systems, and cloud infrastructure is essential, as is experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms. Familiarity with AI/ML tools in software engineering and a background in healthcare technology or regulated industries are strongly preferred. The role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, the ability to build consensus, and a passion for mentoring and developing engineering teams. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, with an advanced degree being a plus.
