About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of People to join their dynamic, mission-driven organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and scaling a high-impact people strategy, leading a team of HR professionals, and institutionalizing transformed people operations and employee enablement systems. This senior leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in organizational design, workforce planning, HR technology, and leadership development. The VP of People will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and other senior leaders to ensure the organization can attract, retain, and grow exceptional talent in support of its strategic vision.
Key responsibilities for the role include translating organizational strategy into a people operations plan, building effective and flexible systems and processes, advancing internal policies, and serving as the lead strategist for HR technology and analytics. The ideal candidate will have 10-15+ years' of progressive HR experience, with a preference for those who have led HR in complex, distributed, and mission-driven organizations. A people-first mindset, hands-on experience with workforce planning, and a proven track record in coaching senior leaders are essential. The role also involves designing and leading initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention, as well as strengthening diversity, belonging, inclusion, and equity initiatives. The VP of People will be expected to deliver on key outcomes in their first year, including the development of a new compensation framework, reimagining performance management, and building a comprehensive leadership development strategy.
