About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, Head of Late Clinical Development - Oncology to lead the strategic and operational aspects of clinical development within the oncology portfolio. This senior executive role is pivotal in ensuring the success and sustainability of the R&D pipeline. The successful candidate will be responsible for talent championing, building and leading a world-class organization of oncology and immuno-oncology clinical development professionals. Key responsibilities include creating a vision for an innovative clinical development organization, supervising the design and execution of clinical research plans, and managing all clinical components of regulatory documents. The role also involves serving as a senior expert in oncology clinical development, interfacing with key thought leaders, and providing strategic insight for business development.
Applicants for this role at The Company must have an MD, with a preference for Board Certification in Oncology, and at least 10 years of significant clinical research and drug development experience in oncology. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the entire drug development process, from early to late stages, and a proven track record in designing and conducting innovative Phase 2 and Phase 3 clinical trials. Experience in global drug filing and regulatory interactions, as well as a strong network of professional relationships with external oncology thought leaders, is essential. The role requires a leader with a successful history of building and motivating teams, particularly in a highly matrixed work environment, and the ability to collaborate effectively across global, cross-functional teams. Experience in immuno-oncology and a background in business development and licensing are also important for this position.
