About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for its Global General Ledger Control (GGLC) team. The successful candidate will be a key member of the team, responsible for the core support of the General Ledger, including central controls and governance to ensure the completeness and accuracy of reference data and the integrity of month-end processes. This role is pivotal in the post-implementation environment, particularly in the context of a significant multi-year project to enhance the firm's books and record attestation tool. The Vice President will lead the GGLC Governance team, which is focused on the governance of the month-end GL attestation process, and will be instrumental in the ongoing tool optimization and client support. The position demands a high level of attention to detail, analytical skills with a control focus, and the ability to manage a comprehensive slate of additional projects impacting the governance environment.
Candidates for this role at the company should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly organized, and have a strong appreciation for escalation and risk awareness. The role requires a committed and self-motivated individual with the ability to demonstrate initiative, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to work. Strong technical skills and the ability to grasp the administrative duties of financial systems are essential. While an audit background is not mandatory, an understanding of accounting assertions and concepts of audit evidence is beneficial. The Vice President will also be expected to have a critical thinking approach, challenge processes, and suggest creative solutions. The position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment within a top-tier financial institution, with a focus on professional development and a culture that values diversity and inclusion.
