About the Role The Company is seeking a Dean for its College of Education, Health, and Behavioral Sciences. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with a strong commitment to advancing the College's mission of excellence in education, scholarship, and experiential learning. This role involves providing strategic vision and leadership, advocating for the College, and serving as the academic leader. The Dean will work closely with Department Chairs and Program Directors to shape the curriculum and enhance teaching, scholarship, and service across all programs. Establishing partnerships with stakeholders and driving the achievement of the University's goals are also key responsibilities.
Candidates for the Dean position must have an earned doctorate or terminal degree in a relevant discipline and a distinguished record of accomplishment in academia. Extensive experience in academic administrative leadership, particularly at the level of department chair or above, is required. The ideal candidate will be a persuasive communicator, possess strong interpersonal skills, and have the ability to inspire faculty and staff to work together. Strong management skills and the ability to partner effectively with a broad range of internal and external constituents are essential. The Dean will be expected to enhance the institution's stature as a student-centered and learning-focused entity, committed to excellence in all fields of scholarly endeavor.
