Inventory Clerk – Construction Company Location:
Tracy, CA Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM (start time flexible between 5 AM – 7 AM) Pay:
$20 - $26/hr. or DOE About Us: We are a growing construction company in Tracy, CA, looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our team. This role is critical in keeping our projects running smoothly by ensuring accurate inventory, timely reporting, and proper coordination with various departments. If you have a strong work ethic, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and have inventory control experience, we’d love to hear from you. Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate inventory levels to support daily operations. Perform regular cycle counts (ABC counts) and report results to management. Audit inventory systematically and physically to identify discrepancies. Enter and maintain accurate data in SAP S4/HANA and Excel reports. Organize and manage returned or defective goods. Collaborate with sales, shipping, accounting, purchasing, and operations teams. Identify obsolete or excess materials and propose solutions for disposal or resale. Train and support team members on inventory procedures and cycle counts. Investigate root causes of discrepancies and implement corrective actions. Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards. Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Prior inventory control or warehouse experience (construction industry preferred). Proficiency in SAP S4/HANA and Microsoft Excel. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in fast-paced environments. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities with accuracy. Must be able to walk the floor, lift, and perform physical inventory counts. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Why Join Us?
