We are seeking a talented mid-level associate to join our
Litigation Group
in the
Chicago
office. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex commercial litigation matters across a variety of industries, with the potential to get involved in emerging areas like cybersecurity and data privacy. Key Responsibilities: Handle all aspects of litigation, including discovery, brief writing, and pre-trial preparation. Manage complex commercial claims, such as contract disputes, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, non-compete litigation, and merger-related disputes. Work on joint venture and partnership disputes, bankruptcy and restructuring-related litigation, and statutory claims. Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop and implement case strategies. Engage in settlement negotiations and other dispute resolution processes. Provide strategic legal guidance to clients throughout the litigation process. Qualifications: JD from a top-tier law school. 3–5 years of experience in complex commercial litigation, ideally in a law firm setting. Strong experience in discovery, brief writing, and pre-trial preparation. Exposure to cybersecurity and data privacy law is a plus. Excellent legal research, drafting, and analytical skills. Strong communication and client relationship management skills. A proactive, team-oriented approach to legal practice. Compensation and Benefits: Competitive base salary ranging from $235,000 - $420,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Hybrid work model: In-office Monday through Thursday with flexibility for remote work. Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and retirement plans.
