Litigation Associate

Overview

A leading Am Law 100 litigation practice is seeking junior, mid-level, and senior associates (Classes of 2023–2018) to join its Chicago Litigation Group.

The team handles some of the most complex and high-stakes disputes in the country. Associates gain experience across a wide range of matters, including:

• Complex commercial claims and contract disputes
• Fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and tortious interference claims
• Non-compete and restrictive covenant litigation
• Merger-related litigation and control disputes
• Joint venture and partnership disputes
• Bankruptcy and restructuring-related litigation
• Statutory and regulatory claims

Responsibilities

• Drafting briefs and motions
• Preparing for depositions, hearings, and trial proceedings
• Collaborating closely with senior attorneys on strategy and client counseling

Exposure to, or interest in, cybersecurity and data privacy litigation is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Admitted, or eligible for admission, to the Illinois Bar
• 1–6 years of litigation experience, ideally from a law firm or judicial clerkship
• Strong writing, research, and analytical skills
• Team-oriented with excellent communication abilities
• Base salary range: $235,000 – $420,000 , commensurate with class year and experience
