What You Will Be Doing
Empowering students with a focused academic routine and cultivating a disciplined culture during their learning sessions. Leading dynamic eSports coaching sessions to enhance students' communication, teamwork, and strategic skills. Exemplifying high performance in punctuality, resilience, and emotional intelligence. Fostering a competitive environment that treats learning and gaming as rigorous training. Providing individualized mentorship to guide students through challenges and celebrate achievements.
What You Won’t Be Doing
Designing lesson plans or grading assignments — traditional teaching methods are not part of this role. Delivering lectures or managing a conventional classroom setting. Allowing students to take it easy — this is a structured, goal-oriented program. Suppressing energy — your role is to harness and direct it.
Counselor Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain an energetic, high-performance environment that propels students toward academic excellence and personal development through eSports.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's degree in any discipline. Proven track record of elite performance in any field. Experience in coaching, mentoring, or motivating youth to achieve challenging goals. Exceptional energy and ability to inspire and guide young students in dynamic settings. Passion for eSports, gaming, technology, or computer science. Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Commitment to working in-person in Austin, TX.
Nice-to-have Requirements
Background in high-performance settings such as athletics, military, or startups. Experience in transforming underperforming youth into high achievers. Knowledge of popular competitive games like Fortnite or Rocket League.

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
