This role is remote within the eastern or central United States, requiring travel across the country, especially in IL, OH, MI, IN, PA, TN, MD, NJ, & WV. Ideal candidates will reside near a major airport in the Great Lakes, Mid-West, or Mid-Atlantic regions or near our offices for a hybrid work setup. Travel expenses are covered by the company. Position Overview

The Senior Manager of Sales reports to the Executive Director of Regional Sales and leads a team of Business Development Managers (BDMs). Responsibilities include developing and executing strategies for acquiring new Energy Efficiency projects, managing a regional sales team, supporting customer engagement, and meeting sales goals. The role involves in-field support, mentorship, and strategic planning to expand market presence and ensure sales targets are met. Key Responsibilities

Manage and guide the sales team in prospecting, cultivating, and acquiring new projects. Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with a consultative sales approach. Lead pipeline reviews, support customer meetings, and provide mentorship to team members. Enhance territory development and customer relationships through proactive engagement. Oversee administrative functions including performance reviews, hiring, and budgeting. Analyze sales data, create forecasts, and prepare reports for senior leadership. Collaborate with project teams to ensure customer needs are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of consultative sales experience in industries such as energy performance contracting, facility upgrades, or related fields. Experience selling to government or institutional markets (S.L.E.D/M.U.S.H.) is preferred. Prior sales management experience in a solutions-based environment. Proven success in developing sales territories, closing complex deals, and managing high-performing teams. Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills, with proficiency in CRM and MS Office. Preferred Qualifications

Over 4 years of sales management experience. Deep understanding of building and mechanical infrastructure and related technologies. Experience with long sales cycles and formal sales training programs. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar CRM systems. Additional Details
