Job Description Senior Forensic Engineers conduct investigations of residential, commercial, and mixed-use buildings, including code research, construction document review, failure analysis, scope of repair preparation, and report writing. Their work primarily supports insurance property claims and construction defect litigation. They cultivate strong client relationships and excel in business development. Business Development, Leadership, Management Support the Director in achieving the annual budget for the practice area/division, managing resources to meet utilization targets, overseeing profitable work streams, and communicating with clients. Manage and lead new account execution and support retention and expansion of existing engagements to meet sales goals. Delegate assignments effectively to direct reports, monitor progress, and ensure high-quality work. Assist the Director in monitoring relevant data such as utilization, accounts receivable, and discretionary spending. Achieve individual utilization and revenue targets as set by leadership. Manage, mentor, and develop a team of direct reports, fostering a proactive and empowered team culture. Learn and support business development activities, including preparing reports, presentations, and client communications. Travel regionally to support client, employee, and leadership needs. Maintain quality control of service delivery, upholding the company's reputation for quality. Identify and escalate operational or client issues promptly to the Director. Operations Conduct forensic inspections to determine causes of property damage and defects. Assess structures for buyers, sellers, or tenants. Inspect structures under construction to prevent future claims. Research failures related to design or construction to determine causes. Develop detailed remediation plans, including scope and schedule. Prepare investigative reports with findings and remediation plans for management and clients. Lead business development efforts through presentations and client contact. Provide expert witness testimony in litigation cases. Support strategic planning aligned with organizational goals. Build and support cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals. Manage projects in accordance with contracts and communicate potential challenges. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. Maintain high quality standards for all deliverables. Perform other duties as assigned.
