SUMMARY The Vice President of Business Development, Data Centers & Power, plays a critical role in driving growth and strengthening the firm’s position across the mission-critical infrastructure and energy markets. This leader is accountable for shaping and executing business development strategies, cultivating strong client partnerships, and positioning the company to win high-value pursuits. By aligning with industry trends such as data center expansion, renewable integration, and resilient power systems, the VP will spearhead initiatives that generate long-term value for both clients and the organization. Success in this role requires a commercially minded executive who can anticipate market shifts, build trust with senior decision-makers, and mobilize internal teams to deliver differentiated solutions. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities aligned with the company’s growth objectives in data centers and power. Lead and coordinate pursuit strategies with cross-functional teams to maximize win rates on key opportunities. Continuously analyze market dynamics, competitors, and client drivers to refine positioning and strategy. Build trusted relationships with executives, owners, and stakeholders across the data center, utilities, and energy ecosystem. Drive preparation of RFIs, proposals, and client presentations; ensure messaging reflects value propositions that resonate with client priorities. Coach and prepare internal teams for high-stakes interviews and client engagements. Represent the company at industry forums, conferences, and networking events to expand visibility and generate leads. Act as a bridge between clients and technical/operations leaders, ensuring expectations are understood and consistently met. Provide insight into contract negotiations, risk considerations, and pricing strategies. Partner with senior leadership to identify and recruit strategic hires who strengthen market capabilities. Support talent development and mentoring of junior staff in business development and client engagement. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of pursuits, clients, and pipeline activity within CRM systems. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Energy Systems, or a related discipline. 15+ years of progressive experience in business development, with at least 7 years at the leadership level. Demonstrated success winning complex pursuits in the data center, power, or mission-critical sectors. Strong commercial acumen, with experience shaping strategies that deliver revenue growth and expand market share. Proficiency in CRM platforms and business development tools. Proven ability to engage at the executive level and build long-term client relationships. Seniority level
