PCU Nursing Job Details Location: Jackson, TN 38301 (Tennessee healthcare jobs) Estimated Weekly Pay: $1680-$1800 Facility Setting: Cardiac/Progressive Care Telemetry Unit (Stepdown) Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 9/22/2025 - End: 12/22/2025) Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (18:45 - 07:15) Hours per Week: 36 Patient Ratios: 4-5 patients per nurse Orientation: 16 hours Potential to Float: May float to other MS/Tele units or ICU (lowest acuity patients) Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license (Compact or Tennessee) Minimum 1 year of recent PCU and telemetry nursing experience required Epic charting experience within the last 12 months preferred Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (must be in hand at submission) COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions for COVID-19 only) Previous charge nurse and community hospital experience preferred Ability to pass fit test (no facial hair) PCU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac telemetry and stepdown patients Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration), and respond to rapid response situations Perform procedures including blood product administration, central line care, chest tube management, tracheostomy care, and wound care Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services Float to other units as needed, including MS/Tele and ICU (lowest acuity patients) Utilize Epic and Cerner charting systems Maintain infection control and isolation precautions Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career with this PCU Registered Nurse job in Jackson, Tennessee!
