Summary:
The
BD and Capture Director
is responsible for identifying, qualifying, developing win strategies, shaping, and supporting proposal activities to successfully capture new business and re-compete opportunities, including GWAC, IDIQ, BPA vehicles, and Task Orders. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in managing complex Federal Acquisition lifecycle opportunities from inception to award.
Responsibilities:
Define target markets and identify new business opportunities.
Develop service solutions under various contract types, including FFP, T&M, and cost-plus, for both non-IDIQ and IDIQ contracts.
Lead capture management strategies and execution to pursue new business opportunities.
Lead large strategic bids, including technical solution development and win strategies.
Drive pursuit processes through gates, pricing, teaming, and reviews; document lessons learned.
Negotiate teaming agreements and strategic alliances.
Collaborate with BD, operational leadership, and SMEs to build call plans for successful pursuits.
Assess customer requirements and identify related needs impacting winning solutions.
Develop market strategies, establish pipelines, and manage schedules in GovWin.
Present opportunity statuses at gate reviews and obtain necessary approvals.
Classify risks and establish risk management strategies.
Translate requirements into robust win strategies with compelling features and benefits.
Support proposal development and ensure the integrity of win strategies through color reviews.
Advance opportunities towards high win probability.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience with additional years of relevant work.
10+ years of capture management or related Business Development experience in the Defense or Intelligence sectors.
Experience with medium to large-scale federal government projects (valued > $50M).
Secret clearance required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Extensive knowledge of the capture process and proven success.
Ability to build partnerships internally and externally, understanding competitive discriminators.
Proficiency in industry best practices for capture management.
Ability to identify emerging business trends and recommend strategies.
Strong influence and interaction skills at high organizational levels.
Willingness to travel and work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and business skills.
