Vice President, Product, Test & Quality Engineering

Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy: Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, aligning Global Product, Test, & Quality Engineering goals with company strategy. Represent the MEMS Business Group on quality matters across TDK globally; own and drive worldwide Quality KPIs; build and promote a culture of continuous improvement using Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, 5S / 6S, 8D / CAR. Drive resolution to product, test, quality, and reliability issues for top Consumer OEMs and Tier-1 Automotive customers as well as external suppliers. Product & Test Engineering
Lead New Product Introduction (NPI), ensuring robust design validation and successful transfer to mass production. Collaborate with Design, Foundry, Validation, Systems, and Manufacturing to define custom and off-the-shelf production test strategies. Own product characterization and qualification of new product architecture / platforms. Support root cause assessment and corrective action on customer and product issues. Quality Management & Compliance
Oversee Quality Management Systems (QMS), including ISO / IATF certifications, audits, and documentation. Drive timely resolution of complex reliability and quality issues for top Consumer OEMs and Tier-1 Automotive customers using industry-standard data analysis and problem-solving tools. Ensure compliance with environmental and global regulatory requirements. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field. 15 years of experience in semiconductor operations, quality, product, and / or test engineering, including 5+ years at the director level or above. Proven experience in leading international teams across Engineering disciplines. Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving, organizational, and result-driven critical thinking skills. Comfortable working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments with shifting priorities. Strong understanding of MEMS Sensors, modules, test development, and semiconductor manufacturing flow. Demonstrated success managing ISO / IATF certified QMS and leading audits with top Consumer and Tier-1 Automotive customers. Deep knowledge of quality tools and systems : 6-Sigma, SPC, DFMEA / PFMEA, DOE, etc. Willingness to travel internationally (25–30%). Compensation
Base Salary Range (San Jose) : $181,000 – $272,000 Additional benefits include eligibility for long-term incentive plans, variable bonus plans, and a full benefits package. Compensation depends on experience, skills, and location. Location : San Jose, CA (Hybrid – Minimum 2 days / week onsite)
