TITLE:

Facilities Warehouse Hauler and Mail Driver

DEPARTMENT:

Facilities

PAY RANGE 11:

$17.94 to $19.04 (based on experience and education)

SCHEDULE:

8 hours daily/260 days yearly

REPORTS TO:

Facilities Manager

Summary

of Responsibility:

Haul various materials, equipment and furniture. Delivers and picks up mail from all district sites. Travels to District sites for deliveries and haul backs. Helps maintain and organize both the warehouse and off-site storage areas. Helps with minor repairs, and assembly of some furniture.

QUALIFICATIONS : High School Diploma or GED is required A minimum of 6 months to 1 year experience in hauling/warehouse required Preferred prior experience with driving box trucks and trailers Valid Driver's License required Leadership experience is desired Understand and carry out oral and written instructions/directions Maintain Valid Driver's License. This position requires the employee to drive corporation vehicles. In accordance with Board policy an individual must be at least twenty-one (21) years old and have held a driver's license for at least three (3) years with clean driving record. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Haul various materials, equipment and furniture Safely operate electric pallet jacks, pull pallet jacks, forklift, dock leveler, and various lift gates Work in conjunction with the maintenance foreman, materials coordinator, and facilities manager Observe assigned work areas for maintenance needs and vandalism and notify appropriate personnel Use electronic devices to pull work orders and stock for deliveries. Organize work orders and ensure routes are efficient Receive and deliver all inter-school and U.S. Mail daily Deliver mail to U.S. Post Office Mover parcels for mailing or shipping and delivery to building; receive and distribute materials and correspondence from one building to another Assist warehouse personnel in performance of filling orders Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, and small repairs on various equipment Maintain and organize off site storage areas Assemble furniture and equipment (desks, chairs, cabinets) Open communication with building supervisors for deliveries on supplies (water softener salt, paper products) Operates skip loaders to pick up rock, dirt, salt, and load trucks Maintain routine records of work orders, equipment repair and maintenance The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the corporation Operate snow removal vehicles and equipment Other related duties as may, from time to time, be assigned by the supervisor

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
