Position Summary
The Department of OB/ GYN is seeking a dynamic Senior Administrative Assistant to join their team. Under general supervision, the Administrative Assistant will provide professional-level administrative support of a highly responsible and confidential nature to ensure that daily department operations and functions are performed in an efficient and effective manner.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Minimum of two (2) years of college education or Associate’s Degree. In lieu of educational requirements, experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of Administrative Assistant experience.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience:
Administrative Assistant experience supporting Director or Senior Leaders.

Job Duties
Description of Job Duty
Provides general administrative support duties.
Coordinates the administration of programs, projects, and/or processes by organizing and coordinating department operations.
May coordinate and plan special events and/activities.
Performs word processing duties, desktop publishing and graphics and data entry.
May assist in the preparation of departmental budgets and monitor expenditures.
May prepare requisitions, check requests, blanket purchase orders and other financial documents for assigned accounts.
May generate purchase and order lists and purchase supplies from local vendors as needed to fulfill departmental needs.
Knowledge of general office procedures, mathematical calculations and tabulations.
Ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously with competing deadlines in an effective manner.
Knowledge of general office filing and travel procedures.
Position requires general clerical skills, basic word processing and data entry.
Good organizational skills.
Must be able to type 45 WPM .
Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills to deal effectively and professionally with faculty, staff, vendors, and the general public.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).

It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are encouraged to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
