Overview
Job Purpose The Analyst, Network Operations works with a team that provides 24x7 support for the organization’s global production network infrastructure by performing proactive routines that ensure service impacts are avoided. This role interacts with customers and peers in Operations and Engineering to facilitate effective handling of service requests and connectivity issues. Responsibilities Incident Management:
Proactive checkouts and monitoring to avoid service outages or limit their impact. Troubleshooting and fault isolation to restore service when necessary. Problem Management:
Develop solutions for Incident Management from Case Study evaluations, including root cause flow charts and troubleshooting procedures to streamline fault isolation and service restoration. Operational Readiness for New Services:
Complete checklists to support pre-production deployment of network services, ensuring management updates, proactive routines, understanding of dependencies, and staff readiness for recovery procedures. Change Management Planning and Configuration Implementation:
Coordinate changes with the CAB, conduct periodic reviews with Engineering, and support the implementation of network changes. Service Requests, Network Maintenance, and Operational Support:
Execute analysis or support requests, represent strategic initiatives, and support proactive maintenance activities to maintain infrastructure health. Process Improvement:
Own tasks assigned by management to improve operations related to technology, processes, tools, or services. Knowledge and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or related field preferred, or 1-3 years of relevant experience. Knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), TCP/IP, Layer 2 and 3 switching. Superior customer service skills, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Weekend and off-hours support required. JNCIA, CCNA, or equivalent knowledge preferred. Financial industry experience preferred. Skills Monitoring for new events and incident creation. Routine network analysis at all levels. Coordinate activities with vendors. Interact with advanced engineering support. Develop and propose solutions for the knowledge base.
