About the role

The Food Runner is responsible for delivering food to guests promptly, maintaining table cleanliness, and assisting with guest needs to ensure a positive dining experience. Work closely with Servers and Host to ensure guest satisfaction and optimal flow of business.

What you'll do

Deliver food to tables, address guest needs promptly and check back to ensure satisfaction. Maintain clean, organized tables by pre-bussing, replacing silverware, refilling drinks, and removing clutter. Clear soiled items and reset tables efficiently at the end of each meal to prepare for the next guests. Ensures guests are seated at a clean and properly set table within the shortest amount of time possible. Properly completes all involvement with the Guest service sequences, i.e. bread service, water service etc. Clean tables and dust chairs. Empties trash and spot sweeps the restaurant and bar floor. Arrange tables according to standard. Assist servers with pre-meal set-up. Maintain clean and organized work areas. Checks cleanliness of the bus stand from previous shift and notifies manager of any problems. Sets up the bus stand, restocks and prepares bus stand for shift change and/or close. Maintain back up supply of silverware and glassware. Retrieve clean linen and deliver soiled linen. Cleans up spilled food, drink and broken dishes. Removes empty bottles and trash. Stock supplies, perform side work. Respond to guest requests promptly and efficiently. Packages take-out orders appropriately. Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary. Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of the position. Maintains favorable working relationship with all company employees and purveyors to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate. Maintains a favorable image of the Company at all times to promote its aims and objectives, and to foster and enhance public recognition and acceptance of all of its areas of endeavor. Qualifications

Must be 18+ years old. Demonstrate strong listening and communication skills. Demonstrate problem-solving and critical thinking. Ability to work independently and on a team, maintaining a high level of performance. Focus on teamwork and collaboration of others. Physically able to lift/move items up to 50 pounds and open/close containers. Able to multitask under pressure while maintaining composure.
