About the role

The Host is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality to all guests. The host is a critical role that is the first and last touch point when our guests arrive and leave the establishment.

What you'll do

Provide prompt and courteous service to all guests. Always serving guests in a friendly and professional manner. Ability to understand and work in assigned sections unless otherwise noted by Manager on Duty. Escorts guests as soon as possible to the appropriate table and presents menus. Offers assistance if necessary with highchairs, etc. Keeps the Host station clean and organized. Ensures all menus are clean. Restocks necessary supplies and brings all areas up to standard. Completes opening, ongoing and closing side-work, with manager approval before clocking out. Follows opening/closing checklist and company policies to meet role objectives. Maintain relevant knowledge of all food and beverage menus, directions, entertainment and all upcoming events. Follow all company policies and procedures.Comply with all policies and standard operating procedures of the company. Follows company policies and mandated law with regards to proper food handling and storing. Gives a warm and pleasant farewell to guests and invites them to return. Attends shift meetings according to shift schedule. Maintains a clean and neat appearance while adhering to the uniform standards of the host position. Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees and purveyors to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate. Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of FOH supervisory experience in a high-volume restaurant. Strong listening and communication skills. Problem-solving and critical thinking. Must be able to work independently and on a team, maintaining a high level of performance. Must be able to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining business standards. Provide exceptional service to internal and external Guests while leveraging the knowledge of the position and the business. Stay engaged and motivated with the business, department, and all Team Members at all levels while encouraging growth and development of self and others. Build lasting relationships by demonstrating honesty, integrity, and effective communication. Driven to exceed expectations while remaining accountable and fair. Must be 18+ years old. Demonstrate strong listening and communication skills. Demonstrate problem-solving and critical thinking. Ability to work independently and on a team, maintaining a high level of performance. Focus on teamwork and collaboration of others. Physically able to lift/move items up to 50 pounds and open/close containers. Ability to manage the reservation system and floor plan to ensure smooth flow of business. Able to multitask under pressure while maintaining composure.
