Position Title: Community Giving Associate
Position Classification: Regular; Full Time; Exempt; 40 hours/week
Reports to: Manager of Community Giving
Location: Remote possible, Boston preferred
Position Overview
The Community Giving Associate is a key member of the Community Giving team, supporting fundraising, cultivation, acquisition, and stewardship activities to meet revenue and donor goals. The role focuses on growing and maintaining employee and community engagement programs, including employee giving at various levels, third-party platform fundraising, private sector employee giving, and community-based fundraising and events. The Associate works closely with the Manager of Community Giving and collaborates with teams such as Private Sector Partnerships, Digital Engagement, Donor Engagement, and PIH Engage to enhance supporter engagement and brand awareness. They also manage the PIH Speakers Corps to support community-led events aligned with our mission and assist with direct mail and SMS programs, providing high-level donor support. Responsibilities
Indirect Giving / Community Engagement (60%)
Create and implement strategies to steward workplace donors and deepen their connection to PIH. Align employee and corporate engagement strategies with fundraising goals. Maintain and explore new indirect giving opportunities and oversight organizations. Collaborate with CRM and Gift Administration teams to improve data tracking, reporting, and system integrity. Manage PIH Speakers Corps, including request prioritization, inventory management, and member development. General Team Support (40%)
Coordinate annual direct mail campaigns with Marketing and Communications. Develop and analyze SMS campaigns with senior leadership and partners. Handle sensitive donor inquiries and support during high-volume periods. Support automated donor journey processes for stewardship and cultivation. Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years of professional experience; nonprofit development experience preferred. Effective communication skills with diverse constituencies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar CRM systems. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines. The starting salary range is $55,000-$65,000/year, depending on experience and market conditions.
