* Shift Type: 3x12-Hour Nights * Shift Hours: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM * Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend * Holiday Coverage: Rotating holidays * Block Scheduling: Not available * Orientation: 16 hours (non-billable) * Scheduling Type: Self-scheduling
Job Requirements
* Experience:
* Minimum 3 years of current and strong LDRP experience * Acute care RN experience required * Antepartum and Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) experience preferred * Cross-training in antepartum and postpartum expected * Travel experience required
* Certifications Required:
* BLS * NRP * E-CFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring - Antepartum RN)
* Licensure:
* Maryland or Compact RN license must be in hand at time of submission
Skills & Responsibilities Required Skills:
* Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum, Antepartum, and Level I Nursery care * Newborn care: assessments, cord care, metabolic screening, phototherapy, hypoglycemia management * Postpartum care: breastfeeding support, episiotomy/incision care, fundus/lochia/perineum care * Surgical procedures: D&C, tubal ligation, cervical cerclage * Fetal monitoring: external and internal * Pain management: opioids, PCA use * Professional topics: HIPAA compliance, vaccine administration, isolation precautions
Work Settings:
* LDRP * High-risk antepartum * Mother/Baby couplet care * Nursery * Inpatient acute care

* Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Infants, Adolescents, Adults * Daily Census: 22 patients * Number of Beds: 28 * Average Visits Per Day: 3 * Common Diagnoses: Labor checks, cesarean sections, inductions, contractions, deliveries * Unit Description: Family Center includes postpartum, Mom/Baby couplets, antepartum, and newborn nursery
Interdisciplinary Support Includes: IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary Vaccination Guidelines
