Bellevue College, an open-enrollment institution serving both associate and bachelor’s degree students, is seeking an innovative and experienced leader to serve as its Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness (ED).

Reporting to the Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs, the ED is central to advancing the college’s mission of fostering student achievement, expanding access, and promoting transformative learning. The ED collaborates with leaders across the institution to develop data-informed strategies that enhance student success, operational efficiency, and educational equity.

In this strategic role, the ED will lead initiatives that empower all departments to utilize data for improvement, ensure compliance with NWCCU accreditation standards, and advance a culture of continuous improvement. Additionally, the ED will be the institution’s Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO), overseeing accreditation processes to maintain high-quality education and accountability in close collaboration with the Provost. This position offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on a diverse student body, supporting Bellevue College’s values of integrity, inclusiveness, and social advocacy.

The Institutional Effectiveness, Research, and Analytics office at Bellevue College serves as the college’s hub for data-informed decision-making and continuous improvement. This office is dedicated to promoting student success, advancing educational equity, and supporting institutional growth through comprehensive research, data analysis, and strategic planning. The office also ensures compliance with accreditation standards and collaborates with departments across the college to promote a culture of excellence, service leadership, and community engagement.

Bellevue College is a diverse student-centered, comprehensive and innovative college, committed to teaching excellence that advances the life-long educational development of its students while strengthening the economic, social and cultural life of its diverse community. Bellevue College is located just 10 miles east of Seattle where we serve a student population of 20,000, with over 57% students of color, and over 1,300 international students. The college promotes student success by providing high-quality, flexible, accessible educational programs and services; advancing pluralism, inclusion and global awareness; and acting as a catalyst and collaborator for a vibrant region.

This role requires a master’s degree in social science, public policy, higher education or related field with a focus on research, measurement, and analysis. Relevant experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.

The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience in research and analytics with a focus on educational outcomes, access, and equity. The role requires demonstrated experience with accreditation processes, including self-studies, compliance reporting, or coordinating accreditation-related activities. In addition, proficiency with data tools and platforms such as SPSS, SAS, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI is necessary. Experience within the Washington community and technical college system is preferred.

The next ED will be a steadfast advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging across all dimensions of the college. This person will have a demonstrated commitment to and track record of promoting and supporting the trajectory of students and the careers of individuals from historically excluded and underrepresented populations. The next ED will be self-motivated, proactive, resourceful, adept at building relationships, empathetic, a servant leader, and service-oriented with a keen focus on the organization they serve.
