Position Summary:

The Clearing House (TCH) is a banking association and payments company that is owned by the largest commercial banks in the United States. TCH owns and operates the core payments system infrastructure in the US and is currently working to modernize that infrastructure by launching a new, ubiquitous, real-time payment system. TCH is the only private-sector ACH and wire operator in the US, clearing and settling nearly $2 trillion in US dollar payments each day, representing half of all commercial ACH and wire volume. TCH has provided critical services to the banking industry since 1853, and today, our core products facilitate services including Direct Deposit of payroll, bill payments, and check image exchange. The Director, Fraud Business Product Management – Fraud is responsible for driving the vision, development, and delivery of fraud-related services across the RTP network and beyond. This role partners closely with the Head of Fraud and leads key initiatives across the fraud product lifecycle. The Director plays a pivotal role in enhancing adoption of current offerings, guiding expansion into new payment channels, and aligning internal stakeholders to fraud program goals. The individual will work across Product (Technical and Commercialization), Technology, Risk, Legal, and with external financial institutions and clients to ensure that solutions meet market needs while maintaining high levels of performance and compliance. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Drive strategic product direction for the TCH Fraud portfolio, aligned with the VP’s roadmap Lead coordination of design, execution, and iteration of fraud-related features Monitor product adoption and performance, and translate insights into enhancements Engage directly with FIs, corporate clients, and vendors to promote fraud capabilities Lead or support cross-functional working groups and pilots/proof of concepts (PoC's) Track market and competitive trends and advise on product implications Partner closely with TPM and Risk teams to balance innovation and compliance Support reporting and governance activities for fraud-related KPIs and initiatives Represent the fraud team in internal and external forums as needed Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field 8+ years of Product Management or equivalent leadership experience with a focus on fraud, risk, or payments Demonstrated success leading complex product development initiatives Proven ability to translate market and client needs into actionable product strategy Strong familiarity with fraud detection tools, typologies, and industry best practices Experience managing cross-functional initiatives involving Legal, Risk, Technology, and external partners Qualifications Desired: Understanding of Pragmatic or agile frameworks Familiarity with financial institution operations and client onboarding processes Knowledge of modern fraud mitigation systems and data analytics platforms (e.g., AWS, Excel, Tableau) Strong organizational and communication skills, with ability to manage ambiguity and tight deadlines Physical demands and work environment: Work is generally sedentary in nature. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. Employees in this position will report to the office three days per week. Occasional travel may be required. Onsite work requirements may change at any time. The anticipated annual salary range for NY-based candidates for this position is $130,000 to $175,000. Base salary and position level will be determined by the role, experience, skill set and location. For eligible positions, discretionary incentive compensation may be awarded contingent on personal and company performance.
