ProSidian seeks a ORP Safety Basis Review Subject Matter Expert (SME) - GSSC (Full-Time) to support an engagement for the US Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford. Preferred candidates present with relevant Government, Public Sector and Infrastructure (Nuclear and Environmental) Sector experience (functional area experience also ideal). This position is located in the CONUS - Northwest Region. ORP Safety Basis Review Subject Matter Expert (SME) - GSSC Candidates shall work to support requirements for PR0117G RFQ FY22-SB10 Nuclear Safety Support Swim Lanes and statement of work (SOW) while maintaining required qualifications with relevant Government, Public Sector and Infrastructure (Nuclear and Environmental) Sector experience (functional area experience also ideal). ProSidian Team Members (# FTe's: 1) work as part of the Engagement Team Cadre to provide Nuclear Safety and Health/Safety as part of general support services on behalf of The US Department of Energy (DOE), Richland Operations Office (RL) and Office of River Protection (ORP) Hanford Site Safety and Health Division (SHD), Assistant Manager Safety and Quality (AMSQ), Quality Assurance Division (QAD) and Nuclear Safety Division (NCD). Perform as a subject matter expert (SME) on the ORP Safety Basis Review Team and (SBRT) Assist the SBRT Team Leader in the role of expert reviewer during DOE's review and comment resolution of the Hazard Analysis (HA), Preliminary Documented Safety Analysis (PDSA), Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) development, and PDSA changes performed by Bechtel National, Inc. (BNI). Perform oversight and mentoring of the WTP Hazards Analysis, Accident Analysis, and Control Selection Process. The SME will provide review capabilities of the DSA related hazard analysis and controls selection, These DSA activities are to be reviewed to follow WTP procedures and similarly aligned other Government agency regulations or procedures. The SME review is particularly important to provide sufficient technical bases for eventual DOE approval of the WTP DSAs in DOE Safety Evaluation Reports (SERs). Provide reviews of HA data and reports to WTP procedures and similarly aligned other Government agency regulations or procedures. Provide reviews of Accident Analysis (AA) calculations and reports to WTP procedures and similarly aligned other Government agency regulations or procedures. Provide periodic oversight of the (HA Team sessions conducted by the WTP Project to WTP procedures and similarly aligned other Government agency regulations or procedures. Provide reviews of DSA chapter submittals of WTP procedures and similarly aligned other Government agency regulations or procedures or criteria, including chapter reviews, accident analysis technical review, system description reviews, and review of other supporting documents (e.g., bases documents of accident analysis, credited Safety Culture, Structures, Systems and Components (SSC) critical characteristics and performance etc.). Assist review of DSA safety management program chapters and evaluation of support documents (e.g., Fire Hazard analysis (FHA), Quality Assurance Program (QAP), maintenance, etc.). Provide oversight of Un-reviewed Safety Question (USQ) and Safety evaluation (SE) activities, including WTP procedures and assessment of implemented WTP USQ process. Assist in the preparation of SERs associated with the above DSA-related activities. Perform similar activities to those listed above for WTP related to PDSA development and maintenance/change efforts to support specific NSD review activities, as authorized by the SBRT Leader. #NuclearSafety #HealthSafety Qualifications
The ORP Safety Basis Review Subject Matter Expert (SME) - GSSC shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position. Education BS/BA degree in engineering, science, or business management. Experience Minimum (8) years of directly applicable experience in applying relevant theories, principles, and practices to tasks, problems, and issues. Proficiency in analytical skills; related processing tools; Knowledge of accepted industry standards; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Demonstrate familiarity or relevant experience or ability to perform under Hanford or other government agency procedures. Identification of any conflicts, potential conflicts, or perceived conflicts of interest with any Hanford Site contractors. Fully vaccinated against COVID, a granted exception to vaccination for COVID, or able to meet entry and testing requirements for entrance and work in federal buildings. U.S. Citizenship Required - You must be a United States Citizen.
