Cleared/Clearable Chinese Localization Specialists Journeyman Linguists
JTG is currently seeking Cleared/Clearable Localization Specialists Journeyman Linguists with Chinese language skills
Location:
Reston, VA
Responsibilities: Assist in the creation and maintenance of cloud environments for human language technology (HLT) tool deployment Provide technical support on human language technology projects Facilitate unit- and enterprise-wide technology rollouts Train linguists in human language technology Assist with troubleshooting foreign language content issues related to triage, translation, transcription, interpretation, and localization Validate new features in computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools, translation memory servers, and human language technology tools. Manage translation memories Identify commercial tools to deploy Automate file analysis, parsing, and filtering Write scripts and/or macros in various program languages to automate repetitive tasks Prepare file types for localization process (including re-coding and script writing) Provide estimates on projects
Basic Qualifications: US citizenship and willingness to obtain TS/SCI clearance with polygraph Four years of on-the-job experience in human language technology field Experience with computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools, localization engineering, and translation memory servers Experience with desktop publishing (DTP), Adobe suite, and Microsoft Office tools and applications Able to pass an English language reading comprehension test Able to pass translation test from Chinese into English at interagency language roundtable (ILR) level 2+ or higher
Preferred Qualifications: Current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph Experience with HTML, XML, ASP, and JSP
Education:
BA/BS or higher preferred Salary:
