Accounting M&A Integration Project Manager The Accounting M&A Integration Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of accounting and finance workstreams for this global tech client's recent merger's and acquisition. This role partners closely with cross-functional teamsincluding corporate accounting, revenue, tax, treasury, FP&A, and business operationsto ensure timely and accurate financial integration, compliance with regulatory requirements, and seamless transition of accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, proven project management skills, and experience managing integration activities in complex, global environments. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Integration Planning & Execution Lead the accounting workstream for M&A integration projects from due diligence through post-close stabilization. Develop and manage the integration project plan, timelines, deliverables, and milestones for accounting-related activities. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (advisors, auditors, consultants) to ensure alignment on accounting requirements. Accounting & Financial Operations Oversee the migration and alignment of accounting policies, procedures, and controls between legacy and acquired entities. Ensure proper treatment of purchase accounting entries, valuation adjustments, and financial reporting implications in accordance with U.S. GAAP and relevant international standards (IFRS if applicable). Partner with the technical accounting team to evaluate transaction structures, address complex accounting issues, and ensure compliance with SEC and other regulatory reporting requirements. Manage the timely and accurate close process for acquired entities, ensuring consolidation readiness. Systems & Process Integration Collaborate with ERP and systems teams to integrate general ledger, subledger, and reporting tools. Standardize chart of accounts, financial reporting formats, and internal controls across entities. Identify process gaps and implement improvements to streamline post-merger accounting workflows. Stakeholder Communication & Change Management Serve as primary liaison between accounting and integration leadership teams. Facilitate decision-making through clear communication of risks, dependencies, and financial impacts. Provide status updates, dashboards, and presentations to senior leadership and the integration management office (IMO). DESIRED EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS 7+ years of progressive accounting M&A integration, transaction services, or corporate finance transformation. Progressive accounting experience with strong leadership skills Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP; IFRS experience is a plus. Proven ability to manage large-scale, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders in a global setting. ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, or similar). Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Experience in a multinational technology or SaaS environment. Background in public accounting (Big 4 or equivalent) with transaction advisory experience. Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements. Success Factors Strong leadership in cross-functional environments. Ability to translate complex accounting issues into actionable plans for non-accounting stakeholders. Delivery of integration activities on time, within budget, and with minimal disruption to business operations.
