The Surgical Technologist will provide essential support to surgical teams during cardiovascular surgeries and procedural sedation, ensuring high-quality patient care and safety. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in surgical procedures in the cardiac operating room by preparing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment.- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.- Provide support for both outpatient and inpatient procedures, fostering smooth recovery for patients.- Maintain accurate records and documentation relevant to surgical procedures.- Participate in continuing education and training to enhance professional development and stay updated on best practices. Qualifications: - A minimum of one (1) year of experience scrubbing for CVOR/Open Heart procedures is required.- A current certification to practice as a surgical technologist in Oregon is mandatory. - Option 1: Successful completion of a training program for surgical technologists in a branch of the U.S. armed forces or the U.S. Public Health Service. - Option 2: Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited surgical technology education program, or an ABHES-accredited program, and current NBSTSA certification, or having completed an accredited program within the last twelve months. - Option 3: At least two (2) years of surgical technology practice in a hospital, ambulatory surgical center, or federal government agency between January 1, 2014, and January 1, 2017, along with required continuing education.- Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.- Experience or training in computer applications is preferred.
