  • Coverage Dates:
  • November 3-9
  • December 22-28
  • Shift Structure: 24-hour beeper call only
  • Call Response Time Required: Within 1 hour Clinical Role
    • Call coverage only (no clinic)
    • Must be available to come in if treatment is required
    • Surgical Procedures May Include:
    • Trauma: Open globe repair, eyelid laceration repair
    • Ocular lid procedures for therapeutic treatment
    • Canthotomy/Cantholysis for orbital compartment syndrome
    • Draining of abscesses
    Hospital Details
    • Trauma Level: II
    • Patients: Unassigned rounding
    • EMR: Epic
    Licenses & Certifications
    • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology - Required
    • Active North Carolina Medical License - Required
    • BLS - Required
    • Fellowship - Preferred
    Call Details
    • Call Type: Beeper
    • On-Site Response Time: Within 1 hour
