LTS is seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to provide technical leadership for designing and implementing mission-critical technology solutions that directly support federal proposals and program delivery. The successful candidate will partner with capture, business development, and technical teams to craft innovative, cost-effective solutions across systems engineering, applications, cybersecurity, cloud, and infrastructure domains. This role is pivotal in shaping winning proposals and ensuring successful program execution for our U.S. Federal Government customers. This role is 100% remote .

Duties & Responsibilities

• Partner with Capture Managers and Proposal Teams to develop compliant, compelling technical solutions for RFPs.
• Lead architecture design for multi-platform and enterprise-scale solutions across federal programs.
• Document proposed solutions in alignment with capture and proposal management requirements.
• Identify and mitigate risks throughout the solution development lifecycle, applying trade-off and impact analysis for key technical decisions.
• Demonstrate thought leadership by aligning technology strategy with business and mission objectives.
• Present solution strategies and architecture recommendations to internal stakeholders and customer facing teams.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and integrate best practices into evolving solutions.
• Build strong relationships and effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels across LTS and customer organizations.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum six (6) years of experience in Software Engineering, Systems Architecture, or Technology Solution Design.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience creating solutions architectures in a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
• Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust or a higher-level security clearance.
• Excellent organization skills with the ability to multitask and shift priorities in fast-paced environments.
• Hands on experience as a team lead developing technical solutions for large, complex opportunities and proposal submissions for U.S. Federal government customers, including DoD or IC agencies.
• Proven ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively with SMEs, Program Managers, Proposal Managers, and Business Development teams.
• Demonstrated success leading and enabling technology, architecture, and software engineering activities at an enterprise scale.
• Strong problem-solving ability, intellectual curiosity, and keen attention to detail.
• Passion for Architecture, Technology, and delivering superior customer experience.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering.
• 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect in large/complex organizations.
• 8+ years of experience architecting, designing, and/or delivering scalable systems in a regulated federal environment.
• Experience partnering with technology executives to influence and drive strategic initiatives.
• Experience mentoring software engineers or architects.
• Experience with interpreting and meeting contract requirements in federal proposals.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies, aligning IT strategy with business and mission goals.
• Knowledge of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
• Experience in data governance, data quality, and data integration practices.
• Background in strategic technology planning and road map development
• Experience in strategic planning and execution, including the ability to develop and implement long-term technology roadmaps.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
