Position Description
The Director of Finance/Chief Financial Officer for the Fielding School of Public Health is accountable for providing leadership and direction for the day-to- day financial operations of the school. The incumbent is responsible for providing the following: financial forecasting/planning; budgeting; purchasing; accounts payable management; control of all school fund sources (e.g., general funds, operational funds, sales and service funds, overhead (ICR)funds, gifts and endowments); financial policies and procedures interpretation and implementation; oversight of central contracts and grants managed in the Finance Office; the annual budget process; and training department administrators and fund managers. The incumbent is responsible for reviewing systems and business processes, and developing and maintaining financial controls, including compliance.
