About the Company / Opportunity:

We are a growing company seeking a Deputy General Counsel to join our legal team in Miami. This role will support a variety of corporate and commercial legal matters, with a primary focus on M&A and financial transactions.

Responsibilities:

Provide legal guidance on M&A and financial transactions.
Draft and negotiate purchase agreements.
Manage outside counsel and assist with litigation matters.
Ensure compliance with securities laws and financial regulations.
Collaborate with internal teams on legal aspects of business initiatives.
Represent the company in contract negotiations.

Must-Have Skills:

JD and active bar admission.
10+ years of legal experience in M&A, financial transactions, and banking.
Experience with securities law.
Prior leadership or management experience.

Nice to Have Skills:

Experience with international transactions.
Exposure to private equity matters.
Familiarity with AI technology.
Experience working in a retail or consumer-facing business.
