Our client is a top firm, seeking a junior to mid-level associate for its Tech Group in San Francisco or Austin. The firm is considering candidates with experience in other relevant practices, such as corporate M&A or IP litigation practices, who are interested in pivoting to a tech practice group. The salary range for this role is between $235k to $365.

Qualifications:

• 1-4 years of experience in drafting and negotiate licensing, partnering, and commercial agreements; experience drafting and negotiating venture financing or M&A transactions; and/or experience in IP disputes.
• Experience with general IP, privacy, and business/product counseling.
• Strong interest in working with startup and venture capital clients.
• Technical degree is not required for this role.
• Strong interest in emerging technology and IP law is a must.
• The firm is most interested in candidates with big law experience.
• California or Texas bar admission required.
• Excellent academic credentials as well as strong writingn skills.
