What You'll Do:
Engage with Agile teams to design, develop, test, and implement technical solutions using full-stack development tools and technologies.
Work alongside skilled developers experienced in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full-stack systems.
Utilize programming languages including Java, Scala, Python along with open-source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, as well as cloud-based data warehousing services like Redshift and Snowflake.
Stay abreast of tech trends, explore and experiment with new technologies, actively participate in technology communities, and mentor fellow engineers.
Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust, cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans toward financial wellbeing.
Conduct unit tests and peer reviews, ensuring your code is meticulously crafted, optimized, and performs effectively.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree.
At least 3 years of experience in application development (Internship experience does not apply).
At least 1 year of experience in big data technologies.
Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in application development, with proficiency in Python, SQL, Scala, or Java.
2+ years of experience working with public cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
3+ years of experience with distributed data/computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL).
2+ years of experience in real-time data and streaming applications.
2+ years of NoSQL implementation experience (Mongo, Cassandra).
2+ years of data warehousing experience (Redshift or Snowflake).
3+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux, including basic commands and shell scripting.
2+ years of experience with Agile engineering practices.
This position is located in McLean, VA with a salary range of $158,600 - $181,000 for the Senior Data Engineer role.
