What You'll Do:
Collaborate across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support cutting-edge technical solutions using full-stack development tools.
Work alongside a team of developers with expertise in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full stack systems.
Utilize programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, and manage Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases along with cloud data warehousing services like Redshift and Snowflake.
Stay ahead of tech trends, experiment with new technologies, and engage in both internal and external tech communities while mentoring fellow engineers.
Partner with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that enhance user experiences for millions of Americans aiming for financial empowerment.
Conduct thorough unit tests and peer code reviews to ensure high-quality, efficiently performing code.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
At least 3 years of application development experience (Note: Internship experience does not count)
Minimum of 1 year of experience with big data technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of application development experience including Python, SQL, Scala, or Java
2+ years of experience with a public cloud provider (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud)
3+ years with distributed data/computing tools such as MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL
2+ years working on real-time data and streaming applications
2+ years of experience with NoSQL implementations (like Mongo or Cassandra)
2+ years data warehousing experience (specifically with Redshift or Snowflake)
3+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux, including shell scripting
2+ years of exposure to Agile engineering practices
This role is primarily remote; however, candidates may be required to be onsite at the following address: McLean, VA.
