Octagos is a dynamic and rapidly growing healthcare technology company dedicated to improving patient outcomes through AI-driven solutions and clinical accuracy. We are seeking a strategic, user-focused Operations Director to join our Ambulatory Cardiac Monitoring team.
Position Summary
The Director of Operations oversees day-to-day operations in our ambulatory cardiac monitoring facility to ensure efficient patient care, regulatory compliance, and alignment with healthcare delivery goals. This role involves developing operational protocols for ambulatory cardiac monitoring services (Holter, Extended Holters, Event Monitors, and Mobile Cardiac Telemetry). Responsibilities include developing and refining operational protocols, managing device logistics and budgets, supervising clinical departments, and optimizing workflows to deliver high-quality, timely cardiac monitoring services.
This is an in office position based in Houston, Texas.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Planning And Strategy
Develop and implement operational plans specific to ambulatory cardiac monitoring (Holters, Extended Holters, Event Monitors, MCT). Ensure workflows align with clinical standards, patient safety requirements and company strategy.
Process Improvement
Identify and implement process enhancements that improve turnaround times for report generation, data quality and overall customer and patient experience.
Budget Management
Manage budgets related to monitoring equipment, connectivity platforms and device logistics. Monitor and track all related costs while maintaining cost efficiency.
Department Oversight
Oversee operations across device logistics, patient and customer onboarding, clinical monitoring and data review workflows. Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between clinical, technical and customer-facing teams. Ensure full integration and alignment with Company's standard onboarding, training and account management departments and platforms.
Team Leadership
Lead, motivate, and supervise clinical, technical, and logistical support teams to achieve operational excellence. Foster a culture of accountability and quality while maintaining patient-centered care.
Employee Management
Oversee hiring, training, and performance evaluations for all ambulatory cardiac monitoring employees, to include promotions and exiting non-performers from the company. Ensure all staff and stakeholders are fully trained in the latest device technologies and regulatory requirements.
Performance Measurement
Establish KPIs around report turnaround time and throughput, patient compliance, device uptime and diagnostic yield.
Communication And Collaboration
Maintain strong communication with cardiac electrophysiologists, cardiologists, clinical staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Partner with internal product, engineering and marketing teams to optimize integration of monitoring solutions.
Problem Solving
Anticipate and resolve operational challenges related to device deployment, patient compliance, and data transmission.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, biomedical engineering, healthcare administration, or a related field. (Advance degree preferred) Experience: 10+ years in operations management in cardiac monitoring or medical device services. Proven experience in managing large-scale device logistics, clinical workflows, and SaaS-enabled or tech-enabled healthcare services.

Deep understanding of ambulatory cardiac monitoring technologies (Holters, Extended Holters, Event Monitors, MCT). Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills. Ability to develop and implement long-term operations strategies that align with business goals. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Strong problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and collaborate with with multidisciplinary teams.
