The Team
One of the largest pillars in our Tax practice is our Federal Tax team who have a deep specialization in tax consulting and compliance services for individuals, pass-through entities, corporations, and international clients. In many cases, our Tax professionals manage day-to-day client service relationships, and as such, serve as the gateway to a variety of specialized tax services that help to improve compliance with taxing entities while maintaining each client's overall tax risk profile. Due to our tremendous growth, we're seeking a Senior Associate to join our team.
How You Will Contribute
As a Senior Associate within Federal Tax you will:
Assist with tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations. Assist in collaboration with clients and internal teams to gather necessary information and provide comprehensive tax advice. Identify potential tax risks and opportunities and recommend solutions to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities. Participate in tax audits and manage correspondence with tax authorities. Mentor and guide Associates, providing training and support as needed. Assist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies for clients to optimize their tax positions. Conduct thorough research and analysis of complex tax issues Assist in creating deliverables that are concise, complete, and address the elements deemed critical by the client. Clearly communicate work plan, project objectives, and timelines to multidisciplinary project teams. Assist in client calls to understand critical areas of importance and apply technical knowledge to specific client situations. Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and assisting with proposals and presentations. Build client relationships and demonstrate a working knowledge of client businesses, with the opportunity to assume additional responsibility quickly. Encourage open expression of ideas and opinions and actively seek opportunities for others to share diverse experiences and perspectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required CPA required 2+ years’ experience with federal and state individual, trust and pass-through entity (S-Corps, Partnerships) taxation Prior proven experience leading and managing work streams and mentoring junior staff Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to establish credibility and influence clients Strong research, writing, and analytical skills Experience with all Microsoft Office products (with an emphasis on Excel) Experience with GoSystems, OneSource, and research software preferred Ability to simultaneously work on several projects and effectively manage deadlines High motivation to learn and grow Detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills

Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave. The salary range is $85,000 - $105,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
