Pacific International has been retained by a global manufacturing organization at a pivotal point in its growth and transformation. The company is seeking a strategic and operationally-minded
Senior Director Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
to serve as the
right hand to the CFO
and a key leader in driving financial performance, value creation, and executive decision-making. This highly visible role will lead the global FP&A function across a complex, multi-site manufacturing footprint. The leader will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting, while working cross-functionally to enable the delivery of operational plans and transformation objectives. With a direct line to the board of directors and private equity ownership, this is a high-impact opportunity for a finance executive who thrives in performance-driven, change-oriented environments. Responsibilities: Financial Strategy & Leadership:
Act as a trusted advisor to the CFO and executive leadership team, providing financial insights to support strategic planning, resource allocation, and long-term value creation. Global Budgeting & Forecasting:
Lead the development of the global annual budget and quarterly forecasts, working across business units and regions to align financial targets with operational plans. Performance Analysis & Reporting:
Oversee monthly and quarterly financial performance analysis across the P&L, working capital, capital investment, and cash flow. Distill complex data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders. Executive Communication:
Own the creation of impactful, board-ready financial presentations and reports that communicate key performance drivers and strategic implications. Finance Transformation:
Lead key components of the company’s finance transformation agenda, including process redesign, digital enablement, and operational efficiency initiatives across FP&A and adjacent finance functions. Capital Planning & Control:
Manage the capital budgeting process, including setting investment thresholds, ROI modeling, policy adherence, and spend tracking. Business Partnership:
Collaborate closely with global operations, supply chain, commercial, and HR leaders to drive alignment with financial objectives and improve overall business performance. Ad Hoc Projects & Investment Support:
Conduct targeted analysis on M&A, capital expenditures, cost-saving opportunities, and strategic initiatives as directed by the CFO or board. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative field required; MBA or postgraduate certifications (CPA, CFA, CMA) strongly preferred. 15+ years of progressive finance experience, with 10+ years in FP&A leadership roles within complex,
global manufacturing environments . Proven track record of leading corporate-level FP&A, including full ownership of global budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes. Prior experience working with
private equity stakeholders
or in a performance-focused ownership model is highly preferred. Strong background in leading finance transformation initiatives (e.g., digital tools implementation, post-merger integration, shared services redesign). Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior functional and operational leaders across regions and business units. Advanced proficiency with enterprise financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion) and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Exceptional communication skills with a track record of delivering board-level presentations and insights. Detail-oriented with high standards for accuracy, timeliness, and quality in a fast-paced, global environment.
