JOB SUMMARY:
The City of Baltimore’s Department of Finance is seeking an Agency IT Specialist I that will assist Workday workstream leads with scheduling, meeting coordination, escalations and testing. This position will also facilitate Agency Fiscal Officers Workday finance meetings including scheduling, call setup, agenda preparation and documentation as well as Create, review and update job aids, standard operating procedures and other training materials working with Change Management when necessary. This position will report directly to the Finance Project Manager for the Department of Finance.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
An Associate degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
AND
Experience:
Have (2) two years of computer and customer support, applications analysis, and/or data security and testing experience.
Previous IT experience in government is preferred.
OR
Equivalency Notes : Have an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Ability to create, review and update job aids, standard operating procedures and other training materials working with Change Management when necessary. Ability to assist Workday workstream leads with scheduling, meeting coordination, escalations and testing. Ability to support Workday business processes by assisting in their creation, testing and deployment. Knowledge of monitoring Workday Community, providing users with relevant changes, coordinating log ins for Workday Community. Knowledge of ticket management systems, with experience managing ticket process in SolarWinds and Charm ticketing systems. Ability to work with Finance management on onboarding activities including denoting necessary systems’ access and security roles and coordinating Non-Disclosure Agreements with new users of Workday. Experience working with ERP systems required, Workday experience preferred.

Probation
All persons, including current City employees, selected for this position must complete a mandatory six-month probation.
