We are seeking a Vehicle Operations Engineering (VME) Final Assembly Engineering (FAE) Manufacturing Engineer to drive quality improvements and warranty reductions in our assembly plants. The role involves ensuring current model quality, preventing future issues, and leading the implementation of quality tools and technologies. Responsibilities include analyzing quality concerns, managing minor programs, running changes, and supporting process improvements. Skills Required
Lead data-driven analysis of quality issues Develop and implement corrective actions Collaborate across various teams including Plant Engineering, Product Development, and Quality Engage with SMEs for quality improvement initiatives Utilize data tools to prioritize response actions Report to management and represent VME FAE at functions Implement tools and error-proofing technologies Manage responsibilities for minor programs, including assessing manufacturing feasibility and updating engineering concerns Perform in-plant trials and support quality meetings Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field Experience in Automotive Manufacturing Engineering Knowledge of automotive assembly tooling, processes, and facilities Experience with error-proofing, vision equipment, and fastening technologies Willingness to travel to North American assembly plants Preferred Experience
Strong project management and communication skills Proficiency in 3D CAD review (Teamcenter, CATIA, etc.) Understanding of PFMEA and failure mode avoidance Knowledge of relevant software systems (FEDE, WERS, GSPAS/APT) Experience in areas like Electrical Systems, Interior/Exterior Ornamentation, Chassis, Powertrain, or Tire and Wheel Assembly Ability to work under stress and resolve problems promptly Self-motivated with minimal supervision Education
