In collaboration with the Senior Director of Campaign & Legacy Giving, the Gift Officer will develop and execute strategies to meet fundraising goals through securing major, planned, and annual fund gifts. The role involves stewarding a portfolio of donors, producing reports, identifying prospects, and administering the DSO’s Legacy Program. The Gift Officer must effectively communicate the orchestra's mission, manage gifts of $25,000 and above, and handle multiple priorities with meticulous records. Duties
Increase support via outreach, relationship building, and developing fundraising proposals; assist with benefit fulfillment and donor restrictions compliance. Develop and implement annual fundraising strategies, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors, and document all communication in Tessitura. Administer the Legacy Program, serve as a contact for Hans Kreissig Legacy Society Members, and assist with estate resolutions. Attend events and concerts to foster donor relationships, assist with office functions, and support overall organizational activities. Requirements
Bachelor's degree Minimum 3 years in non-profit development and fundraising Proven success in securing gifts from donor prospects Donor-focused, collaborative, and team-oriented approach Knowledge of development best practices Excellent organization, communication, and confidentiality skills Proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing, and Tessitura software Interest in the arts and willingness to learn Previous nonprofit experience preferred Willingness to travel for donor cultivation Additional Information
