Our client is looking for a
Senior Mechanical Engineer
to lead end-to-end product development for high-performance automated equipment. This role will be heavily involved in hands-on prototyping and new machinery launches, with responsibility for advancing product concepts into scalable solutions. Key Responsibilities Design & develop complex machinery using
SolidWorks , ensuring reliability, safety, and manufacturability. Leadership & mentoring of cross-functional teams Generate assemblies, drawings & BOMs, maintaining data integrity in ERP systems. Lead prototyping, field support & field testing to validate function, compliance, and performance. Partner with electrical engineers on system integration, sequencing & component selection. Present & release design documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Support commercial launch, resolving design issues impacting product quality or performance. Drive continuous improvement through customer feedback & competitive benchmarking. Engage with customers & cross-functional partners to identify design challenges and opportunities. Qualifications Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering (advanced degree preferred). 10+ years of machine design experience; packaging or automation industry strongly preferred. Strong background in electro-mechanical and pneumatic systems. Hands-on prototyping and R&D experience required. Proficiency in SolidWorks; ERP and CAD data management experience.
