The Position Vice President, System Compliance Officer Reporting to both the Chief Legal Officer (Sue Bajwa) and/or the President & CEO (Mark Behl), the Vice President, System Compliance Officer (SCO) serves as the most senior compliance executive at NorthBay Health. This strategic leader is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing an enterprise-wide compliance program across the health system. The SCO will function as a working executive, directly overseeing all areas of regulatory compliance, risk assessment, privacy and HIPAA oversight, and organizational ethics. This role includes significant cross-functional collaboration with legal, clinical, administrative, and operational teams.As the organization embarks on a period of expansion, this is a unique opportunity to elevate and operationalize compliance strategy across the system in alignment with NorthBays long-term vision. Experience/Qualifications Education : Bachelors degree required. Advanced degree strongly preferred (JD, MHA, MBA, MPH). Certification : Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or equivalent required. Minimum 710 years of progressive experience in healthcare compliance, legal, or regulatory affairs. At least 3 years in a senior leadership capacity. Proven success leading compliance functions within an integrated healthcare system preferred. Strong familiarity with California healthcare regulatory frameworks highly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in interpreting healthcare laws and operationalizing them within complex systems. Proficiency with compliance technology solutions and data analytics. Compensation The compensation package for this position includes: Base Salary Range : $250,000 $285,000 Benefits : Full suite of health, retirement, and paid time off benefits Seniority level
