NEFCO is seeking a strategic and adaptable communications professional to lead initiatives that strengthen our brand, elevate executive visibility, and engage both internal and external audiences. This multi-faceted role blends public relations, thought leadership, executive and acquisition communications, and event planning—ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. As the lead for external communications, you’ll craft and deliver messaging that enhances NEFCO’s reputation and builds strong relationships with media, industry partners, and key stakeholders. You’ll also manage high-impact events—from executive engagements to customer-facing experiences—and represent NEFCO in public settings. Additionally, the role also plays a key part in communicating NEFCO’s community involvement and supporting outreach efforts that reflect our values and commitment to the communities we serve. Internally, you’ll partner with Culture, Talent Development, and HR to support employee communications and engagement, including the development of NEFCO’s acquisition and integration communications playbook. You’ll also collaborate with Marketing and Culture teams on internal campaigns and events. Job Duties: • Develop and execute strategic external communications, including press releases, media pitches, and executive messaging. • Develop and execute strategic external communications that enhance NEFCO’s brand reputation and visibility. • Support CEO and senior leaders with thought leadership content, speeches, and public appearances. • Build and maintain relationships with media and industry stakeholders. • Plan and manage external events such as trade shows, executive engagements, and customer experiences. • Support and promote NEFCO’s community involvement initiatives by developing communications that highlight partnerships, volunteer efforts, and local impact stories • Manage event logistics, vendor relationships, and post-event communications and reporting. • Edit and proof communications on behalf of NEFCO employees as assigned. • Partner with internal teams to support internal communications and employee engagement initiatives, as necessary. • Lead the creation of NEFCO’s acquisition and integration communications playbook. • Take ownership of developing new media outlets and identify new avenues of impact communication on behalf of the company. • Collaborate on internal and external campaigns and events • Ensure consistent, high-quality messaging across all channels and audiences • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field. • 5+ years of experience in communications, PR, or executive communications. • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills across formats and platforms. • Proven experience in media relations and event planning. • Ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences and channels. • Strategic thinker with strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills. • Experience developing thought leadership content and supporting C-suite or senior executives with external visibility. • Demonstrated success in planning and executing internal and external events, including logistics, messaging, and stakeholder coordination. • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills across formats (press releases, executive messaging, speeches, social media, etc.). • Comfortably represents the organization in public or high-visibility settings. • Proficiency in communications tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams); familiarity with media monitoring and analytics tools is a plus. • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable Seniority level
